Michelle Smith left for Tanzania in July 2006. She has completed language school training to speak Swahili and is now stepping into the process of developing writing systems for unwritten languages and eventually to be directly involved in Scripture translation.

She is working with Wycliffe Bible Translators and anticipates spending the next several years translating portions of the Bible so that another people group may some day have God's Word in their native tongue.
