“Unless the LORD builds the house, they labor in vain who build it.” -- Psalm 127:1

We recognize that today’s family comes in all shapes and sizes. Whether you are in a traditional, single-parent, or stepfamily situation, we want to encourage and help you as you seek to build a strong and healthy family that honors God and blesses others.

To begin with, Scripture teaches us that it is the LORD Himself, Who is the true “Builder” of family life; we are to simply co-labor with Him in that process. If we reverse God’s order and seek to build our family depending upon our own strength, wisdom, and creativity, then our labor will surely be in vain.

As any builder with tell you, there is a detailed process to constructing anything. Of course, it begins conceptually in the mind of a designer. From there, engineers, architects, and artists go to work putting that concept into visual form, i.e. blueprints and models. This begins the process of bringing that concept into reality. Without a plan, or blueprint, the concept – wonderful as it may be – will not become reality.

So it is with the family. God is the Designer, His Word is the “blueprint” for family life, and His plan is wonderful! Yet, few people truly experience the reality of His amazing and wonderful design. Rather than building their lives on the solid “Rock” foundation of Jesus, following the blueprint of His Word, many have relied upon their own good intentions while embracing the philosophies and values of this world. Sadly, the results are evident as family life within the Church is not unlike the surrounding culture.

Because of this, we are committed to coming alongside families in a supportive role, encouraging and teaching both parents and children how to love God and pursue His plan for family life. By offering regular biblical instruction, and plenty of opportunities for fellowship, service and growth, we want to help you discover what it means to be loved and led by God. It is also our prayer that you would learn to live your life in such a way that others would look at your family and ask, “Who’s your Builder?”

In His strong love,
