Kathi and I were married in 1992 and lived in Seattle for 9 years before moving here to Olympia, where Kathi grew up. We have 6 children - Lauren, Jacob, Tyler, James, Maria and Musie. 

About 20 years ago, I went on my first overseas short term mission trip and gained a small glimpse of how enormous God's plan is for this world. Since that time, it has been my desire to serve the Lord in missions, whether outside of my normal vocation or as my vocation. 

Since early 2006, I have been assisting with Missions here at Calvary. It's a privilege to serve the body in this way. At Calvary, we seek to reach people with God's love and truth - and for their lives to be changed through a relationship with Him. My role on staff is to promote this mission in an overseas context.  

For the world to understand the love of Christ, we must convey the gospel in concrete ways - the reality of His love needs to be seen through His body, the church. To this end, I assist folks from our body who are preparing to enter the mission field and also provide support to those already in the mission field. Lastly, it is my desire to provide opportunities for people here in Olympia to become more deeply involved in what God is doing to reach those who have not understood His love, such as through short term mission projects.
